“Every artist was first an amateur” – R.W. Emerson
The effectiveness of a school’s training is best illustrated by the progress its students make, not necessarily in the quality of their finest work. The degree of progress students achieve at SARA varies, naturally, from one student to another, but all students experience significant growth and advancement.
Below are some images that illustrate the development and growth of a number of our students. The “before” images are actual photos the students submitted with their student applications, and so were considered by them to be examples of their best work at the time. The “after” images are works created by the same person after studying at SARA. The length of study for each student varies, between two months to three years.
