Over the course of five days, James will deliver active feedback to students and produce a demonstration alongside them for reference. He will also cover various techniques and strategies to help students better understand their materials and handling methods.

James is currently working as an artist and teacher in Cape Town, South Africa. After receiving his BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design, James completed his studies at Grand Central Atelier in New York City.

The workshop will take place over 5 days, six hours a day with two live models.

Everything you need to participate in the workshop will be provided by the school. However, if you prefer to bring your own material you are most welcome to do so, it might be helpful as you are accustomed to them. Specifically brushes might be advisable to bring from your own materials.

There are 8 spaces available in this workshop and students will work in our ateliers at SARA Academy. All materials are included, as well as an afternoon fika (typically consisting of a Swedish pastry/cake with tea/coffee).

Please note that if less than 4 students sign up for the workshop we will inform students at least one month before start and a full refund will be paid, otherwise the deposit is non-refundable.
